So like a couple weeks ago, Bentley's UVB light stopped working. And I was like "Alright, well, it's about time for a replacement anyway, and I'm going out anyway, so I'll stop by Petco" and I got him a new UVB fluorescent.

It was dim, but it was working, so I was like "Well, okay, it's better than nothing. This will hold him over and I'll order one through amazon"

And then his basking light went out, and I was like "Well.... okay, I guess I'll quickly appeal to amazon and get a one-day delivery of a basking light"

but the only basking lights that were available the next day were some off-brand bulbs, so i ordered those for the next day AND a pack of the brand i trust which will come later as reliable backups

and I got the basking light and put it in and it worked, but now the fluorescent light has completely gone out but I already had one on its way so all I could do was wait

and then the fluorescent came and I put it in and it's flickering/dim, too, so I guess it's the fixture itself and not the bulbs

so i ordered a replacement fixture, which also comes with a fluorescent bulb, and in the meantime im keeping the UVB light off so it doesn't wear out the bulb by flickering (plus idk how sensitive Bentley would be to it)

and that's how I spent an absurd amount of money in like 1 week

ive been trying to order alcohol for the past week even though I’m a light weight because it feels like that’s the only way to prove I’m an adult now and not a glorified house pet who people worry about when they escape the house and have to be in the real world. At the very least I can enjoy wearing shorts now
